The Private Sector will Employ More Than 152,000 Emiratis by the End of June 2025

According to the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization (MoHRE), more than 152,000 Emiratis work in the private sector across 29,000 businesses as of June 30, 2025, the deadline for achieving Emiratization targets for the first half of the year.

The Ministry said in a statement that the private sector’s success with Emiratization highlights the efficacy of Emiratization policies and the Nafis program, which are directed by the UAE’s astute leadership. The number of Emiratis pursuing positions in the private sector is increasing, demonstrating the significant positive impact of these initiatives.

These achievements follow the orders of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Vice President of the United Arab Emirates, the Deputy Prime Minister, the Chairman of the Presidential Court, and the Chairman of the Emirati Talent Competitiveness Council (ETCC) Board of Directors.

The constant, record-breaking rise in the number of UAE nationals working in the private sector, according to MoHRE, is indicative of the durability of the nation’s economic expansion. Due to the UAE’s innovative and sustainable development model and continuous efforts to foster a top-notch business environment, new businesses have entered the national labor market, representing a 33% increase in the total number of establishments over the past year.
