With over 350,000 visitors across 12 major international and local exhibitions and events in the first quarter of 2026, Expo Centre Sharjah is expanding its goal to create sustainable growth in the exhibitions and business tourism industry, With over 1,500 exhibitors representing businesses and brands from 40 countries, these events strengthened the Center’s worldwide reach within its yearly roster of 95 shows.
SteelFab 2026, the biggest trade fair for metalworking and steel fabrication in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, kicked off Expo Sharjah’s Q1 schedule. More than 350 exhibitors representing over 600 leading domestic and international businesses were present. As the first show to use fully integrated, AI-powered digital display technology, SteelFab 2026, which covered 25,000 square meters, was a significant milestone.
AetherEx, a digital twin platform that enables exhibitors to preserve their market awareness, highlight their products, and maintain connections with international audiences long after the physical show concludes, was presented at this year’s SteelFab. Through creative interactive formats, the platform makes it easier to create and maintain complete and long-lasting virtual pavilions that showcase goods and technical solutions.
