The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai (GDRFA) has announced that the single-entry tourist visa, which is valid for 30 to 60 days, can now be processed within 48 working hours after all requirements are met, as part of Dubai’s commitment to facilitating entry procedures and accelerating services for visitors from around the world.
The requirements to obtain the visa include a personal photo, a copy of a valid passport, and, for some nationalities, the national ID of the applicant’s country, GDRFA said, noting that the application is processed within a short period after the required documents are submitted.
This is part of Dubai’s ongoing efforts to enhance its status as a global tourist destination by developing digital services and streamlining the visitor’s journey from the application stage to arrival, in line with the tremendous growth witnessed by the emirate’s tourism sector.
“Usually, the issuance of tourist visas is done in record time,” Sherif Al Farram, CEO of “Sherif House” travel business, said, noting out that a huge majority of applications filed by the agency are accepted in less than a day after completing the formalities. He said the great efficiency of the visa issuance system and simplicity of entry into Dubai will boost worldwide confidence and the influx of tourists to Dubai.
