Armenia Offers UAE Citizens a Visa Exemption

The goal of this resolution is to facilitate travel, tourism, and trade between Armenia and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), making it easier for visitors to visit the nation in the near future. Between July 1, 2026, and July 1, 2027, citizens of qualifying nations who possess a valid residency permit from the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, the United States, a member of the European Union, or a Schengen member state are exempt from obtaining an entry visa, so long as the permit is valid for at least six months from the date of entry into Armenia.

Travelers who meet the requirements may enter Armenia without a visa for up to 180 days in a single year. It is necessary to provide a resident permit, which might be an official sticker attached to the passport or a residence card.

This option is important since it streamlines processes by eliminating the need to pay visa fees, stand in line at the embassy, or finish paperwork before leaving. The choice also falls during the summer travel season, when Armenia draws tourists from the surrounding area because of its pleasant climate, stunning scenery, historic cities, ancient capital, and close proximity to GCC nations.
