The Foreign Ministers of the United Arab Emirates, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Republic of Türkiye, the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Republic of Indonesia, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the State of Qatar strongly denounce the Israeli escalation at Al Aqsa Mosque / Al Haram Al Sharif, particularly the continued mass settlers’ assaults into Al-Aqsa Mosque / Al-Haram Al Sharif led by extremist Israeli ministers.
The Ministers also strongly condemn the illegal and extreme actions of incitement, mobilization calls, and violence perpetrated by Israeli extremist ministers and groups. The Ministers warn that such provocative actions feed animosity and extremism while obstructing efforts to achieve a just and enduring peace based on the two-State solution.
Access restrictions to Jerusalem’s Old City and its places of worship, combined with discriminatory and arbitrary access restrictions to other Old City places of worship, constitute a flagrant violation of international law, including international humanitarian law, as well as an unlawful attempt to change the historical and legal status quo.
