Due to unfavorable weather conditions associated with Typhoon Dolphin, Emirates has alerted travelers of flight delays to and from Shanghai and Hangzhou. Due to the typhoon’s predicted disruption of operations in the upcoming days, the airline said that a number of flights between Dubai and the two Chinese cities have been rescheduled. EK302, which was supposed to depart Dubai at 10.50 p.m. on August 9 and arrive in Shanghai at 11.30 a.m. local time on August 10, has been rescheduled from its initial August 8 departure date.
Originally scheduled on August 10, EK311 will leave Hangzhou at 9.40 a.m. local time on that day and reach Dubai at 2 p.m. local time. Emirates recommends passengers to often check the status of their flights because weather conditions may cause additional delays.
In advance of Typhoon Dolphin’s anticipated landfall on the nation’s east coast between late Sunday and early Monday, China increased preparations for the storm on Saturday by closing ports and canceling ferry services, according to Reuters.
