RTA Improves Existing Routes, Including an Intercity One, and Introduces Four New Metro Link Bus Routes

Beginning on August 30, 2024, Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) intends to introduce four new metro link bus routes and improve the offerings of a number of existing routes, including one intercity route.

With these changes, passengers should have a smoother daily commute and be able to travel throughout the Emirate to their destinations.

Two of the four new routes, F39 and F40, replace Route 31. The first new route, F39, will operate every half hour from Etisalat Bus Station to Oud Al Muteena Roundabout Bus Stop 1 and back. The second new route, F40, will run every half an hour from Etisalat Bus Station to Mirdif, Street 78, and back.

On the same date, Route 21 will also get a new name and be divided into two routes, 21A and 21B. Route 21B will travel in the opposite direction, from Al Ghubaiba Bus Station to Al Quoz Clinical Pathology Services Bus Stop 1. At the same time, Route 21A will begin at Al Quoz Clinical Pathology Services Bus Stop 1 and end at Al Ghubaiba Bus Station. With these modifications, service coverage will be increased, user experience will be enhanced overall, and passenger route identification will be made simpler. It is recommended that travellers be aware of these adjustments and make travel plans appropriately.
