Protect Yourself, Protect Your Community” is the topic of the Ministry of Health and Prevention’s 2026–2027 Awareness Campaign on Influenza and Seasonal Respiratory Diseases. The campaign aims to raise public awareness, encourage people to get appropriate vaccines, and support healthy lifestyle choices that can reduce the risk of complications from respiratory infections.
The Ministry of Health and Prevention in Dubai held a news conference to introduce the campaign, which will continue until March 2027. According to Dr. Hussein Abdulrahman Al Rand, the campaign’s strategy has evolved with the current season, going beyond influenza awareness to advance a more thorough understanding of respiratory disease prevention.
He pointed out that the real value of awareness lies in its ability to turn knowledge into informed health decisions and behaviours that protect people and those around them, not in the number of messages conveyed.
His Excellency went on to say that broadening the campaign’s focus to include respiratory illnesses offers a more all-encompassing strategy that unifies immunisation, healthy lifestyle choices, vulnerable group protection, and access to reliable health information.
