On Sunday morning, His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, a member of the Supreme Council and the Ruler of Sharjah, was present at the closing ceremony of the Fifth International Forum for Arabic Language Teachers. The Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA) and the Sharjah Education Academy (SEA) collaborated to plan the event, held at the Academy’s headquarters and centred on the topic of “Linguistic Security.”
His Majesty met a female student who is not a native speaker of Arabic. He listened to her account of her journey to learn the language and how she found inspiration from the book “House of Wisdom” written by Sheika Bodour Bint Sultan Al Qasimi.
During the presentation, the student displayed calligraphy and drawings that she and her classmates had developed to express their admiration for the book and the information it contained. She also highlighted educational and cultural programs and projects aimed at bringing the Arabic language closer to students, strengthening its presence in their lives, and improving their relationship with it and their use of it in day-to-day life.
Following that, Dr. Muhadditha Yahya Al Hashimi, who is the Chairperson of the Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA) and the Chairperson of the Sharjah Education Academy (SEA), gave a speech in which she lauded Sharjah’s educational and cultural journey, as well as the significant accomplishments that have helped to solidify the emirate’s position on the global education map.
