The WeProtect Global Summit, hosted by the UAE Ministry of Interior in Abu Dhabi from December 4-5, 2024, will bring together experts, decision-makers, and world leaders to help identify and proactively address technological trends that affect the battle against online child abuse and exploitation.
In addition to actively participating in all previous summits, the UAE is hosting this global summit for the second time after hosting the 2015 edition, demonstrating its willingness to support any global endeavor that advances collaboration, coordination, and joint international work for the benefit of all people.
The UAE’s choice to host this international event further demonstrates the esteemed standing the nation has attained and the respect and admiration it receives from all peoples, nations, and organizations worldwide.
Online child sexual exploitation and abuse has significantly increased during the past ten years. To address this pressing issue for children worldwide, the UAE Ministry of the Interior is co-hosting a Global Summit with the WeProtect Global Alliance, a coalition of more than 310 governments, businesses, and nonprofit organizations.
The WeProtect Global Alliance celebrates its accomplishments at its second hosting in the United Arab Emirates this year. It marks ten years of significant effort in protecting children online and reaffirms its dedication to creating a safer digital world for future generations.
