The inaugural session, co-hosted by Habib Al Mulla & Partners and Andersen, focused on the development of UAE Corporate Tax. The workshop provided practical insights into company taxation in the UAE. Participants gained a thorough understanding of critical areas, including corporate tax application, Free Zone taxes, tax grouping, calculation methodologies, transfer pricing compliance, and major legal issues.
The course also covered industry-specific expenditure deductions, corporate tax return preparation, recent legislation revisions, and tax accounting concerns for current and deferred taxes. This comprehensive training guaranteed that participants were well-prepared for compliance in the changing tax landscape.
The second course, organised in conjunction with Fragomen UAE and Gateley Middle East, focused on the UAE’s employment rules and regulations. The workshop gave an overview of the legislative framework controlling the labour market, as well as practical advice on visa requirements, classifications, and employment permits.
