The Dubai Police’s Cybercrime Department, a division of the General Department of Criminal Investigation (CID), has developed an instructional online platform aimed at increasing awareness of cybercrime. This platform, available in both Arabic and English, offers useful awareness materials with an emphasis on preventive techniques, identifying fraudulent practices, and avoiding them.
All members of the community—children, parents, people, company owners, employees, and social media users—are intended to utilise the awareness platform. Access to it is available at [https://ecrimehub.gov.ae/ar].
The inauguration of the awareness platform is by the directions of His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, according to Major General Harib Al Shamsi, Deputy Commander-in-Chief for Criminal Affairs. “This initiative demonstrates a dedication to raising awareness of cybercrime, which will improve community safety and security,” he continued.
“The first step in preventing all forms of crime, including cybercrime, is awareness,” he said. Staying ahead of technological innovations is essential to safeguarding the community from fraudsters and other risks as our dependence on digital tools, artificial intelligence, and technology grows.
Al Shamsi reiterated Dubai Police’s dedication to providing cutting-edge services that complement the strategic goals of the United Arab Emirates and the Dubai government’s ambition for smart services.
