UAE to Compete at ‘I-Sing World Finals’ in Toronto

It was a powerful, if unforced, performance by an ensemble that took place in Dubai on Friday night as blitzes of all shapes and sizes rocked and shook the globe. A quartet that will represent the United Arab Emirates at an international vocal excellence competition in Canada from August 12 to 15 had their farewell performance.

The concert, which was held a few days after the UAE was named one of the safest in the world, was only supposed to give a sneak peek at what Dr. Rommel Pilapil Sergio (51), Kirstin Reyes (12), Zairah Alexine Ragat (12), and Celine Madison Matondo (10), would be able to perform at the “I-Sing World Finals” in Toronto.

I-Sing World Finals is a variation on the 2014 13-Asian Nation Battle of Singers “I-Sing tournament, which was started by Yuro James Tee and Romli Bidin, both of whom are involved in the Malaysian entertainment business.

It is a cultural movement that promotes excellence in singing, performance artistry, and international collaboration,” stated Elipas Sibua, national director of the I-Sing World Finals (UAE), which is held annually. It gives vocalists of all skill levels a platform to compete, perform, and get recognition.

The festival is a thriving center for artistic interpretations, vocal styles, and musical genres. Sibua continued, “The UAE Team is honored to participate in the international event on behalf of the United Arab Emirates as well as the rich variety and skill of its people.
