Residents are Cautioned by the UAE Government About Scam Calls from Unregistered Numbers

The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) has issued advice to help people avoid falling victim to fraudulent phishing calls. In a post on its official “X” account, MoHRE warned the public to be careful of unknown or suspicious phone numbers. The ministry explained that scammers may pretend to represent official organisations in order to steal personal or confidential information.

Abu Dhabi Police issued a warning to the public about internet fraud efforts, pointing out various deceptive tactics such as phoney search engine ads, phoney employment offers, and real estate scams. They emphasised how crucial it is to use authorised applications while seeking services or making transactions. MoHRE urged customers to report any suspicious calls linked to the ministry through its contact centre at 600590000 or by email at ask@mohre.gov.ae.

It also shared safety tips, such as verifying phone numbers through official websites or social media pages, confirming details by calling the MoHRE call centre, and only using the ministry’s official phone number or email for communication.
