With an emphasis on Emirati entrepreneurs, the Ministry of Economy and Tourism, the New Economy Academy, and Ignyte—the region’s premier global digital startup and SME ecosystem platform created by the Dubai International Financial Center (DIFC)—announced the introduction of the Entrepreneurship Program.
The initiative is a component of the national campaign “The Emirates: The Startup Capital of the World,” which was started by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, with the goal of making the United Arab Emirates a major international center for entrepreneurship. A wide range of programs and projects are part of the campaign, which aims to encourage innovation, empower Emirati youth to start their own businesses, and further diversify the UAE economy.
Arif Amiri, CEO of the Dubai International Financial Center Authority; Dr. Laila Faridoon, CEO of the New Economy Academy; and Abdulla Ahmed Al Saleh, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Economy and Tourism, were present at a press conference today in Dubai to announce the program’s launch and specifics.
The Entrepreneurship workshop intends to train 10,000 Emiratis through a three-day “Essentials of Entrepreneurship” workshop and a six-day “Complete Entrepreneurship” masterclass. Aspiring entrepreneurs can benefit from this initiative’s combination of practical applications and entrepreneurship basics.
