His Majesty The new Theatrical Association offices in Sharjah’s Al Taawun neighborhood was officially opened on Wednesday by Dr. Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, a member of the Supreme Council and the city’s ruler.
To the delight of the association’s members, who included actors, directors, and artists, the Ruler of Sharjah unveiled the commemorative plaque upon his arrival, officially launching the association’s new offices.
The Ruler of Sharjah also had friendly discussions with theater professionals about the importance of theater in bringing about social change through its direct performance, expression, and audience-influencing tools. This allows actors to speak directly to people and promotes interaction by expressing the issues on stage in a genuine and vibrant way.
The significance of theatrical writing in creating positive, socially significant works that promote knowledge and cultural benefit was also covered in the conversation. Since theater is a collaborative art form that exemplifies teamwork, the Ruler of Sharjah emphasized the need of integrated collaboration among artists, playwrights, and directors.
