With three new agreements to investigate integrating robotics and artificial intelligence (AI) into Adnoc’s operations and enhancing future skill training for UAE nationals, Adnoc and Gecko Robotics have broadened their strategic cooperation.
The agreements, which were signed Sunday at the ENACT Majlis in Abu Dhabi, include a multi-year technology deployment for Adnoc Gas, collaborative training initiatives with the Adnoc Technical Academy (ATA), and the implementation of robotics and AI-powered analytics throughout Adnoc’s assets to boost productivity, cut downtime, and facilitate data-driven maintenance.
The first of these partnerships, a multi-year collaboration with Gecko Robotics to implement the Cantilever operating system across Adnoc Gas’ assets, was signed by AIQ, Adnoc’s joint venture with Presight. This marked AIQ’s foray into the robotics industry. Under a different agreement, Adnoc and Gecko Robotics will investigate the expansion of advanced robotics and AI-powered analytics, the possibility of producing robotic systems in the United Arab Emirates, and the application of AI solutions to Adnoc’s operational needs. The third agreement is for training program collaboration between ATA and Gecko Robotics.
