Kerala Day is Celebrated in Abu Dhabi

Pinarayi Vijayan, the chief minister of Kerala, and Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, the minister of tolerance and coexistence, attended “MALAYALOTSAVAM,” an event held at the Abu Dhabi Golf Club to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the State of Kerala’s (Kerala Piravi) founding.

More than 5,000 members of the Malayali community attended the celebration, which was attended by Saji Cherian, Kerala’s Minister for Culture, Dr. Deepak Mittal, the Indian Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, industrialist Yusuf Ali M.A., and a wide range of dignitaries.

Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak said, “I am delighted to welcome you to the United Arab Emirates and extend to you all my warmest greetings and sincere appreciation,” during his keynote speech. Being with you now is a true honor.

He reaffirmed the UAE’s profound gratitude for the long-standing ties between Kerala, India, and the United Arab Emirates, pointing out that their same values and interests allow them to work together to create a more prosperous and peaceful world.

He praised Yusuf Ali M.A. for his crucial role in fostering deeper cultural and economic links and emphasized Ambassador Dr. Mittal’s ongoing efforts to improve bilateral relations, calling him “a dedicated son not only of Kerala but also of the UAE.
