Controversy Over Alleged Mental Mistreatment by School Teachers is Sparked by a Delhi Teen’s Suicide

According to reports, a Delhi school’s Class 10 student committed suicide on Tuesday by jumping from a Metro station. According to multiple Indian media sources, the event happened at the Rajendra Place Metro station in west Delhi.

The 16-year-old allegedly blamed his teachers and the principal of the school for his death and demanded action against them in a note that Delhi Police had found. According to ANI, the boy stated in the note that the teachers made him take this action.

A large-scale demonstration outside St. Columba’s School in the Indian capital was triggered by the startling incident. The boy’s father said in the FIR that his kid was suffering from significant mental stress as a result of ongoing harassment by multiple school teachers, according to ANI.

The student had complained to his parents about the teachers’ conduct but their pleas for help were dismissed. The parents said they had made multiple verbal complaints to the teachers and the principal, but the alleged abuse continued.
