According to Rashid Abdullah Al Obad, Director General of Sharjah Media City (Shams), the city is working on a project to create a new entertainment area on Khorfakkan Road as a family-friendly and tourist destination for the city’s citizens as well as those traveling along the crucial road connecting Sharjah and Khorfakkan.
The project is an extension of Shams’ attempts to create top-notch facilities to promote the Eastern Region’s tourism and entertainment industry by offering cutting-edge locations that cater to all demographics.
According to him, the project, an integrated vision for a contemporary entertainment area, comprises several facilities that combine services and entertainment across a total area of about 20,000 square meters.
To provide a welcoming and appropriate setting for families and users of all ages, it offers a variety of options for guests, such as eateries and food carts, kid-focused spaces, sports facilities, and bike and walking routes, he continued.
He stated that Shams is now creating an entertainment area with outdoor seats and play spaces. He added that specifics about the project’s final components and number of facilities would be revealed once the contractor selection process was finished.
