Khaleda Zia, the Former Prime Minister of Bangladesh, is in Very Critical” Condition

Khaleda Zia, the former prime minister of Bangladesh, has been in worse health since being sent to the hospital. On Saturday, her family and party members asked the public to pray for her quick recovery.

Members of Zia’s party stated that she was admitted to the hospital on November 23 due to symptoms of a lung infection and is presently receiving treatment in the intensive care unit. Late on Friday, Mirza Fakhrul Alamgir of Zia’s Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) informed reporters that “doctors have told us that her condition is very critical.

On Saturday, a number of worried followers and senior BNP leaders went to the hospital to find out how she was doing Zia has “heart problems, liver and kidney issues, diabetes, lung problems, arthritis, and eye-related illnesses,” according to The Daily Star, an English-language daily.

According to the magazine, she has a permanent pacemaker and has had heart stenting. In a social media post on Saturday, Zia’s oldest son, Tarique Rahman, who has been in London since 2008, asked Bangladeshis to pray for his mother’s recuperation. Rahman, 60, stated, “We express our heartfelt thanks and gratitude for all your prayers and love for the highly respected Begum Khaleda Zia.
