The UAE, under its wise leadership, is commemorating the 54th Eid Al Etihad with continuous momentum toward a flourishing future, bolstered by a number of national and international accomplishments that have defined 2025, the Year of Community. The UAE expanded its global presence, consolidated its status as a regional and global economic power, and maintained a key role in humanitarian projects.
The government launched six satellites, including Thuraya 4, MBZ-SAT, AlainSat-1, HCT-SAT 1, the second phase of the Foresight satellite constellation, and Etihad-SAT. The UAE Space Agency also announced that the Emirates Mission to the Asteroid Belt (EMA) had completed its final design phase.
Additionally, Space 42, working together with ICEYE, a Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) satellite manufacturer, announced the successful launch into low Earth orbit of three new radar satellites in the Foresight constellation: Foresight-3, Foresight-4, and Foresight 5. The Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre reported in November that the Rashid 2 rover, developed as part of the Emirates Lunar Mission, had been successfully completed.
