Under the patronage of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai, inaugurated the 11th Dubai International Project Management Forum (DIPMF). The forum was held under the theme “Bridging Communities” at Madinat Jumeirah, with the participation of senior officials, heads of public entities, and executives from leading global organisations.
Sheikh Ahmed was welcomed on arrival by Mattar Al Tayer, Director General and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), along with Abdulla Mohammed Al Basti, Secretary General of The Executive Council of Dubai.
As part of the opening ceremony, a large-scale mural titled “A Century of Mobility in Dubai” was unveiled in the presence of Sheikh Hamdan. The artwork traces the evolution of Dubai’s public transport and mobility infrastructure over the past 100 years, highlighting key milestones that shaped the emirate’s development journey.
The mural reflects the early foundations laid during the era of the late Sheikh Saeed bin Maktoum Al Maktoum, whose forward-looking approach and open policies supported Dubai’s long-term growth. It then moves through the period of the late Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, widely recognised as the architect of modern Dubai.
