The Hussain Sajwani – DAMAC Foundation announced a Dhs100 million donation to the Edge of Life campaign, which aims to save five million children from hunger and malnutrition. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, was present.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, started the campaign during the month of Ramadan with the goal of raising at least Dhs1 billion to invest in long-term programs that help stop the threat of childhood hunger around the world.
The announcement came after Mohammad Al Gergawi, Secretary General of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI), and Hussain Sajwani, Founder and Chairman of DAMAC Properties, inked a deal.
Individuals and organisations are encouraged to help the campaign reach its goals of ending child hunger around the world by working with UNICEF, Save the Children, the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF), and Action Against Hunger to provide long-term solutions.
