Tehran Accuses the US of ‘Negotiating with Itself’ after Trump Delivers a 15-Point Peace Plan Through Pakistani Mediators

Iran has dismissed Donald Trump’s assurances that diplomacy is back on track, claiming that the military will “never come to terms with someone like you” and implying that the United States is negotiating with itself.

Despite faltering markets and a plummeting approval rating, the US president gave Iran a 15-point plan to stop the conflict through mediators from Pakistan, according to sources in US and Israeli media. Late on Tuesday, Trump told reporters that Iran “wanted to make a deal so badly” and committed to “never have a nuclear weapon”.

However, on Wednesday, Iran’s main military command appeared to dismiss the concept, questioning whether “the level of your internal conflict has reached the point where you are negotiating with yourselves?

In a message reported by Iranian media, Spokesperson Ebrahim Zolfaghari stated that “someone like us will never come to terms with someone like you – not now, not ever Iran has opened the Strait of Hormuz for “non-hostile vessels” that coordinate with Iranian officials, providing a lifeline to markets devastated by the Middle East war. At the same time, the Pentagon has ordered some 2,000 soldiers from the 82nd Airborne Division to begin traveling to the Middle East, the New York Times said, citing defense officials.
