For US-Iran Peace Negotiations in The Federal Capital, Pakistan Promises Impenetrable Security

Prior to the arrival of high-level international delegations in Islamabad on Friday for the US-Iran ceasefire negotiations, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi gave acting US Ambassador to Pakistan Natalie Baker assurances on Thursday regarding impenetrable security.

According to Naqvi, a “comprehensive and foolproof” security plan has been finalized for key US officials traveling to Islamabad for Friday and Saturday’s high-level negotiations with Iran.Iran and the United States, together with its allies, have agreed to an emergency ceasefire “everywhere, including Lebanon,” with immediate effect, according to Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif. In order to reach a final settlement, he invited representatives from both countries to Islamabad on April 10.

Later, the White House declared that Vice President JD Vance and other negotiators will be traveling to Islamabad with US President Donald Trump to start negotiations with Iran on Saturday. Tehran would be represented by Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf.

The Ministry of Interior said in a statement on X today that Natalie and Naqvi met and talked about the Middle East situation and the impending negotiations. For all foreign visitors attending these important negotiations, we have made extensive efforts to provide impenetrable security,” he stated.
