US President Donald Trump visited the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi with Sheikh Khaled Bin Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council.
The visit began with a sombre stop at the mausoleum of the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, where the US President and his delegation honoured the UAE’s founding father and considered his lasting contributions that established the groundwork for advancing peace, tolerance, and coexistence globally.
In order to gain an appreciation of the mosque’s function in promoting intercultural communication and understanding amongst many cultures and religions, the US President and his team toured the mosque’s halls and outside courtyards.
They also received an update on the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Center’s initiatives to further Islamic principles and enhance international intercultural and intercultural dialogue.
The history of the mosque and its unique architectural and artistic features, which showcase the beauty of traditional Arab and Islamic culture through intricate designs and engineering elements, were also explained to the US President and his delegation. These features reflect the rich heritage of Islamic architecture across the centuries.
