17 EU Officials and Ambassadors Investigate Ties with Sharjah

As part of an official visit aimed at strengthening diplomatic ties and deepening cooperation between Sharjah and EU Member States, Sharjah welcomed a high-level delegation of heads of mission from EU Member States, as well as members of the EU Delegation to the United Arab Emirates (EUDEL).

The tour showcased Sharjah’s innovation-driven, cultural, and educational activities, as well as its development model and cutting-edge programs in research and innovation, education, and the creative economy.

DGR Director Sheikh Majid Al Qasimi greeted the delegates. In keeping with Sharjah’s dedication to creating strong connections with foreign partners and encouraging cooperative action in areas of shared interest, discussions centered on expanding collaborations and investigating potential future cooperation opportunities.

Etienne Berchtold, the ambassador of the Republic of Austria to the United Arab Emirates; Meropi Christofi, the ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus; Anders Bjørn Hansen, the ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark; Maria Belovas, the ambassador of the Republic of Estonia; Nicolas Niemtchinow, the ambassador of the French Republic; Alexander Schönfelder, the ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany; Alison Milton, the ambassador of Ireland; Dana Goldfinca, the ambassador of the Republic of Latvia; and Ramunas Davidonis, the ambassador of Lithuania, made up the delegation.
