Over 80 Speakers Attend the Library and Publishing Summit

The Mohammed Bin Rashid Library recently wrapped up the second edition of the Dubai International Library and Publishing Summit 2025, held under the theme “The Future of the Publishing Industry.” This three-day event featured over 80 speakers from 20 countries, including five keynote speakers, and hosted 48 panel discussions alongside more than 20 workshops.

Compared to the previous year, registrations grew by 27.3%, and attendance increased by 31.5%, with a notable 33% rise in the diversity of visitors’ nationalities. The number of international speakers also jumped by 50%, showcasing the summit’s growing global pull.

In his closing remarks, Mohammed Ahmed Al Murr, Chairman of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Library Foundation, highlighted the summit as a milestone for the publishing sector. He emphasized the importance of blending human creativity with advanced technology, stating that digital transformation is no longer optional but essential in today’s world of open knowledge.

Al Murr underscored how culture, knowledge, and technology are rapidly converging, calling for new systems that balance human values with innovation. He stressed that culture should serve as a bridge fostering dialogue and understanding among peoples, rather than divisions.
