According to reports on Sunday, Sonia Gandhi, the chairperson of the Congress Parliamentary Party, was taken to the Sir Ganga Ram Hospital for a stomach ailment. The 78-year-old former president of Congress is reportedly being monitored at the hospital’s gastroenterology department at the moment.
It should be noted that Sonia Gandhi has spent the second time this month in the hospital. She had previously complained of restlessness and had an MRI at the Indira Gandhi Medical College (IGMC) Hospital in Shimla on June 7.
Gandhi’s blood pressure was somewhat higher than normal, but it was still normal and stable, according to an IGMC physician. According to Naresh Chauhan, the chief media advisor to Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, she was admitted to the hospital for a regular checkup because of a few minor health concerns.
According to a party spokesman, CM Sukhu shortened his visit to Una and left for Shimla after learning about Gandhi’s health issues.
Additionally, Sonia Gandhi was admitted to the hospital in Delhi a few months ago due to a gastrointestinal issue. During her February visit, she spent one day in the care of a gastrointestinal expert at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital.
