An Egyptian Person Died After Debris From an Intercepted Attack Struck an Abu Dhabi Gas Factory

The media office of Abu Dhabi reported that debris from an intercepted attack fell on Abu Dhabi’s Habshan gas facilities on Friday, resulting in the death of one Egyptian person and the minor injury of four other individuals.

According to a statement made by the media office of Abu Dhabi on X, “As part of the ongoing follow up to the previously reported incident at Habshan gas facilities, which was caused by falling debris following the successful interception by air defense systems, authorities confirm that two fires broke out and emergency response teams acted swiftly to bring the situation under control.”

Due to the unfortunate circumstances surrounding this incident, a person of Egyptian nationality tragically lost his life while the place was being evacuated. Additionally, there were four people who endured minor injuries; two of them were Pakistani nationals, while the other two were Egyptian nationals.

The facilities have sustained significant damage, and an investigation into the matter is currently underway. It is strongly recommended that the general public receive information solely from official sources and refrain from spreading rumors or material that has not been confirmed.
