
A new book celebrating the legacy of the Sharjah International Book Fair has been released. Titled Aksharakkadalile Veliyettam (The Tide in the Ocean of Letters), the work offers a thoughtful exploration of the world-renowned literary event. It is authored by Sreejish Sarada Sreekantan Nair, a news presenter with Dubai Vartha.
The book was launched on November 5, the opening day of the 44th Sharjah International Book Fair, during a special event held at 7 p.m. in Hall 7’s Writers’ Forum at the Sharjah Expo Centre. Deepa Ganesh, General Manager of Dubai Vartha, officially released the book and presented the first copy to young singer Ravishankar.
Dubai Vartha’s Chief Editor, Nissar Sayed, delivered the keynote address at the launch. The event also saw felicitations from several distinguished guests, including writer K.P. Sudheera, M.C.A. Nasser (Head of Editorial and Middle East Operations, Media One), Punnakkan Muhammed Ali (Publisher, Chiranthana Publications), Ahmed Shareef (Media Personality, News Tag Live), K.V. Shamsudheen (Managing Director, Barjeel Geojit Financial Services), writer and businessman.
