Dubai Police Encourage Locals to Avoid Indiscriminate Parking in Front of Mosques

Brigadier Juma Salem Bin Suwaidan, Director of the General Department of Traffic, confirmed that Dubai Police had increased traffic patrols near mosques to control traffic and monitor violators. He emphasized the significance of following traffic laws and not impeding public roadways or residential neighbourhood entrances, as random parking can block lanes for emergency and ambulance vehicles, resulting in accidents and injuries that jeopardize the lives of others.

He asked mosque-goers to seek safe sites for Tarawih and Tahajjud prayers during the last ten days of the Holy Month, and not to pray in the streets surrounding mosques to avoid danger or being run over by vehicles.

Brigadier Bin Suwaidan emphasized the need to cooperate with traffic police officers and follow their directions to ensure that prayers are held in a secure and comfortable setting for all. He stated that the Dubai Police will take appropriate action against violators in accordance with existing traffic rules, emphasizing their commitment to providing comfort to road users during this Holy Month.

Dubai Police urge motorists to follow traffic laws and regulations when parking in front of mosques, especially during Tarawih and Tahajjud prayers in the last ten days of Ramadan. This will ensure smooth traffic flow and safety for worshippers and passers-by.
