In a recent auction held by the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), Dubai Taxi Company (DTC) added 250 new license plates to its fleet, increasing its total number of vehicles to 6,210, solidifying its position as the largest taxi operator in Dubai. An additional Dhs85 million in revenue is anticipated per year as a result of this expansion. The new extension will be entirely dedicated to electric vehicles, increasing DTC’s fleet of eco-friendly cars (electric and hybrid) to almost 87% of its whole fleet of limos and taxis.
This strategic addition reflects DTC’s continuous efforts to become a global leader in environmentally friendly mobility and is consistent with the UAE’s Year of Sustainability and its dedication to sustainable and innovative transport solutions.
By providing cutting-edge transportation services that meet worldwide standards, DTC is dedicated to improving the client experience and establishing Dubai as a global center for sustainable urban mobility.
The goal of this action, according to Mansoor Rahma Alfalasi, CEO of Dubai Taxi Company, is to increase DTC’s services both locally and regionally while fortifying alliances with top domestic and foreign businesses in the smart and sustainable transportation industry. “This acquisition bolsters DTC’s position as a leading provider of comprehensive mobility solutions and contributes to revenue growth and profitability of the business by adding more than 9,000 vehicles to our fleet, including taxis, limousines, buses, and motorcycles,” Alfalasi said.
