For the third year in a row, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has given the United Arab Emirates the “Full Transparency” grade. The IAEA’s 2024 Safeguards Report, which emphasises the UAE’s total compliance with international non-proliferation agreements, safeguards, and the peaceful character of its nuclear energy program, includes this acknowledgement.
This accomplishment demonstrates that all nuclear elements in the United Arab Emirates are utilised solely for peaceful reasons. It demonstrates the efficiency of the UAE’s regulatory framework, its steadfast dedication to openness, and its adherence to its international commitments on nuclear non-proliferation.
The IAEA’s report was based on information from the UAE’s non-proliferation agreements, such as reports on nuclear materials and technology, information regarding nuclear facilities and activities, and other voluntary information submitted by the UAE. The organisation then conducts inspections and evaluations to confirm the veracity of this data.
The UAE’s full compliance with worldwide preventing nuclear proliferation agreements, protections, and the peaceful character of its nuclear energy program are highlighted in the IAEA’s 2024 Safeguards Report, which includes this recognition.
