‘Game Changer’ Slimmer iPhone Air and iPhone 17 Are Released by Apple

The new, thinner iPhone “Air” model, which starts at $999 and has a high-density battery and a new chipset, was unveiled by Apple on Tuesday. During the yearly product introduction event, the iPhone Air model was the main attraction, and CEO Tim Cook referred to it as a “game changer.” According to Apple, the model is the most resilient iPhone it has ever produced. To match the device’s smaller battery, it will utilise the A19 Pro CPU chip, which it claims to have modified for improved performance and energy efficiency.

As experts had anticipated, its pricing falls between the company’s other versions. Analysts told Reuters that the iPhone Air, which will compete with Samsung Electronics’ Galaxy S25 Edge, may be a precursor to contending with Samsung’s seventh-generation folding phones. For Apple to attract customers in China, where people prefer foldables and the firm has been losing market share, a foldable phone is essential.

The iPhone, which hasn’t changed much in a long time, will seem fresh thanks to this new gadget, according to Paolo Pescatore, an expert at PP Foresight. He stated that the “fresh” and much-improved iPhone lineup looks fantastic, which puts Apple in an excellent place to cater to various segments.”

In addition, the firm unveiled the latest iteration of its flagship smartphone, the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Pro, a blood pressure sensor in its latest Apple Watch, and a new model of its AirPods Pro wireless headphones. Prices for these new models were essentially lowered or maintained by the manufacturer.
