Germany And the UAE Establish a Joint Business Council to Expand their Commercial Relations

Katherina Reiche, the German Minister of Economic Affairs and Energy, and Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, the UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and Special Envoy to the Federal Republic of Germany, attended a high-level ceremony in Berlin to launch the UAE-Germany Business Council (GUBC) officially. The event, which was a component of Dr. Al Jaber’s official visit to Germany, brought together more than 150 senior officials and well-known business figures from both countries.

The UAE-Germany Business Council’s formation is a testament to the two countries’ solid and enduring commercial ties, which have been developed over fifty years of cooperation and understanding. In the face of a constantly changing global economic and geopolitical environment, the council seeks to promote sustainable growth and open up new trade and investment opportunities.

On this occasion, Dr. Sultan Al Jaber said, “We are dedicated to fortifying and advancing the long-standing relationship between the United Arab Emirates and Germany to new heights, in keeping with our leadership’s aim to create high-impact partnerships that promote inclusive growth. The establishment of the UAE-Germany Business Council would empower the private sector, foster sustainable economic growth, and open up new avenues for collaboration in crucial areas of shared interest.
