He noted that these patrols are uniquely equipped compared to standard units. They feature custom-designed tires for tackling rugged terrains and are outfitted with cutting-edge smart devices and communication technologies for seamless connectivity with the Command and Control Centre. The vehicles are also stocked with essential rescue tools and support equipment. Additionally, the officers assigned to these patrols are thoroughly trained to manage various emergencies with utmost professionalism and operate on a 24/7 basis.
Brigadier Al Ketbi called on tourists, visitors, and drivers to exercise caution by avoiding waterways and refraining from crossing valleys to safeguard their lives. He stressed the importance of avoiding hiking or venturing into valleys due to persistent heavy rainfall. In case of emergencies, he urged individuals to promptly contact the Dubai Police Command and Control Center at 999 and provide an accurate, detailed location description to enable swift assistance.
Highlighting preparedness, Brigadier Al Ketbi pointed out that the Hatta Police Station, in collaboration with its partners, namely the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), Dubai Civil Defence, and Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, is fully equipped to handle emergencies.
