Following a weekend of significant flight disruptions that caused delays of over ten hours for some passengers, Indigo operations between the UAE and India started to return to normal gradually. On Sunday, a lot of planes took off and arrived on schedule, while several had delays of 15 to 90 minutes. On the other hand, some were delayed for almost ten hours. Both the Sharjah–Lucknow service and the Indigo flight from Ras Al Khaimah to Hyderabad left at 2:30 am on Sunday. Additionally, the flight from Dubai to Chennai was supposed to depart on time.
The aircraft from Delhi to Dubai (6E 1463) left 17 minutes late, and the Dubai-Mumbai service was delayed by 15 minutes. On the other hand, the flight from Dubai to Kozhikode departed at 12.44 pm, about 10 hours after the scheduled departure at 3.20 am.
Flight problems persisted throughout India. India’s biggest airlines canceled 500 domestic flights on the sixth day of flight disruptions, compared to 700 on Saturday and 1,000 on Friday. In an update, the airline stated that it was expected to run more than 1650 flights, up from 1500 on Saturday. Sunday’s on-time performance increased from 30% to 75%, and the business promised to fully waive cancellation and rescheduling requests for reservations through December 15.
