Carbon Assurance Received the UAE’s First Accreditation for Climate Verification

At the Emirates International Accreditation Centre (EIAC) Annual Customer Forum 2025, which took place on October 9 at One & Only One Za’abeel in Dubai, Carbon Assurance was formally acknowledged as the first accredited Validation and Verification Body (VVB) in the United Arab Emirates.

In recognition of the company’s innovative role in advancing climate assurance and its contribution to the UAE’s expanding infrastructure of trust and transparency in greenhouse gas (GHG) verification, Her Excellency Amina Ahmed Mohammed, Chief Executive Officer of EIAC, presented the official Certificate No. 1 to Ms. Shahd Alshamsi, CEO and Founder of Carbon Assurance.

The UAE’s premier forum for communication between industry leaders, conformance organizations, and accrediting authorities is the EIAC Annual Customer Forum. With the subject Journey of Excellence, this year’s event focused on digital innovation, best practices, and the UAE’s ongoing dedication to promoting sustainable growth and quality.

Together we innovate, build, and shape a brighter future for the quality infrastructure in the UAE, said H.E. Amina Ahmed Mohammed in her opening remarks, highlighting EIAC’s aim to strengthen trust in quality infrastructure and recognising the UAE’s global leadership in accreditation.
