UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Thursday received Senegalese President Bassirou Diomaye Faye during his working visit to the UAE, which includes participation in Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week 2026.
The meeting took place at Qasr Al Shati in Abu Dhabi and focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation across several key areas. Discussions covered economic and trade ties, renewable energy, sustainability, infrastructure, and other sectors that support long-term development and shared prosperity for both countries.
Both leaders also emphasized the significance of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week as a global platform that brings countries together to address sustainability challenges, promote collaboration, and encourage innovative solutions to accelerate sustainable development. Sheikh Mohamed and President Faye exchanged views on a range of regional and international issues of common interest.
The two sides reaffirmed their commitment to deepening the long-standing relationship between the UAE and Senegal, noting the steady growth of ties over the years. They also expressed a shared desire to expand partnerships, support sustainable economic growth, and explore new areas of cooperation in line with the development goals of both nations.
