Deputy Ruler of Sharjah Sheikh Sultan Bin Ahmed Bin Sultan Al Qasimi and Her Highness As part of the Sharjah International Film Festival for Children and Youth, the first edition of the Global Children and Youth Film Congress was held at the House of Wisdom on Wednesday. Sheikha Jawaher Bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, the chairperson of the Sharjah Family and Community Affairs Authority and the wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, attended the sessions.
The Palestinian struggle, which is still very much ingrained in the UAE’s psyche, especially in Sharjah, was discussed throughout the main session, according to Sheikha Jawaher. She emphasised that a strong passion for Palestine has been instilled in UAE generations and that this affection will never fade.
Calling on Arabs to defend the truth and show solidarity with Palestine, she cautioned against false narratives on contemporary platforms that aim to shape facts and sway young minds. She called on media workers to keep up their support of truthfulness and integrity, leveraging their positions to increase public awareness of Palestine while making sure kids are shielded from anything that goes against Islamic and cultural norms.
