The Arab Energy Organization’s (AEO) 115th ministerial conference began on Sunday under the direction of Kuwaiti Minister of Oil Tareq Al-Roumi. In light of rapid advances in global energy, the AEO member nations convened the summit to discuss organizational priorities and coordination.
Al-Roumi stated in his opening remarks that the meeting is crucial for the organization because of the quick changes occurring in the global energy sector, which call for closer coordination, shared visions, and ongoing cooperation among member states in order to support market stability and improve the organization’s standing both locally and globally.
According to him, the program includes updates on the project to modernize internal regulations and bylaws, a review of the latest developments in the study to further the organization’s work, and a discussion of the proposed 2026 budget.
Al-Roumi added that ministers will review initiatives and advancements, as well as changes in the oil and energy industries and the shared obligations these developments impose on member states. Additionally, he expressed hope that the results would further deepen Arab cooperation and contribute to a more stable and sustainable future for the energy sector, and he praised the General Secretariat for its planning and organization of the meeting.
