The UAE’s transportation system and supply chains continue to function effectively and consistently within an integrated framework marked by resilience and preparedness, according to Suhail Mohamed Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure and Chairman of the Supply and Transport Committee.
According to him, the UAE’s supply and transportation system is based on a comprehensive national framework overseen by the Supply and Transport Committee, with an emphasis on maintaining supply chains and controlling freight movement to meet the nation’s strategic requirements and improve the effectiveness of logistics management.
He pointed out that the committee is essential to the creation and execution of adaptable operational and regulatory processes, such as tracking shipment movements, allocating them among different routes, and liaising with local and federal organizations.
These initiatives bolster the nation’s readiness, promote supply chain sustainability, and improve the logistics system’s effectiveness.
Al Mazrouei added that a national team devoted to the supply and transportation industry has been established to supervise freight operations throughout the United Arab Emirates, fortify alternate routes, and constantly monitor markets. This will guarantee the effective and steady flow of necessary goods and improve the quickness of reaction to new developments and pressing issues.
