Piyush Goyal says That India is Starting a New Stage in international Trade

India’s overall economic fundamentals are still solid, according to Union Minister Piyush Goyal on Tuesday, with exports remaining stable and a number of factors bolstering the nation’s standing abroad. The minister stated in the Lok Sabha that India is about to embark on a new phase of foreign commerce that will assist increase its global reach and provide long-term economic advantages.

Merchandise exports have not decreased, according to him, but services exports have been steadily increasing each month up to February. He continued, “There was some weakness in the first week of March, but exports turned positive in the second week and are expected to stabilize by the end of the month.

Goyal emphasized the wider external sector by stating that the goods trade deficit and the services trade surplus are two of the components that make up the current account deficit. He pointed out that the services surplus is still substantial and contributes to closing the trade imbalance with items. Additionally, he noted that India continues to draw significant foreign direct investment (FDI) and receives substantial remittance inflows, hitting new records every year.

In general, India’s economic conditions and foundations are excellent. The minister stated that there is a growing global desire to increase trade ties with India. Goyal continued by saying that India has increased trade relations with a number of developed countries in recent years, opening up new markets for exporters.
