His Highness, President of the United Arab Emirates, and Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as part of their Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, discussed on Wednesday measures to strengthen bilateral ties and support shared development.
The encounter took place in the context of Aliyev’s trip to the United Arab Emirates, where he was present at the Games of the Future Abu Dhabi 2025 inauguration. In particular, both parties reiterated their commitment to expanding cooperation in the areas of development, the economy, investment, food security, renewable energy, sustainability, and other key sectors.
They pointed out that the two nations’ July 2025 signing of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement marked a significant advancement in their economic ties and is anticipated to produce significant results. Additionally, the two leaders discussed common interests at the regional and global levels. Sheikh Mohamed honored Aliyev with a luncheon.
His Highness Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court, had earlier welcomed Aliyev to Abu Dhabi at the Presidential Flight.
