2025 was a watershed year for the Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC), marked by landmark satellite launches, leadership-driven accomplishments, and a robust program of international collaboration and public engagement.
From orbit to Earth applications, the Centre’s activities this year improved national capability in Earth observation, exploration readiness, geospatial science, and innovation. The successful launches of MBZ-SAT, Etihad-SAT, and PHI-1, as well as the launch of HCT-SAT 1, marked a significant milestone.
The year also saw strategic agreements related to the Gateway lunar space station and the Emirates Lunar Mission, as well as global platforms like Geospatial Week 2025, Dubai Airshow 2025, and the International Astronautical Congress, which increased dialogue, partnerships, and visibility for the UAE’s space ecosystem.
