SCCI Highlights Sharjah’s Investment Prospects for Companies in Serbia

The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) recently hosted the “Sharjah–Serbia Business Forum” at its headquarters to explore opportunities for enhancing economic relations and investment cooperation with the Republic of Serbia’s business community. This event supports SCCI’s goal to strengthen trade ties between Sharjah and global markets, building on the UAE-Serbia relationship and the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement enacted last June.

The forum was attended by key figures including Sheikh Majid Faisal Khalid Al Qasemi, First Vice Chairman of SCCI; Stevan Nikčević, State Secretary of Serbia’s Ministry of Foreign and Internal Trade; and Mihailo Vesović, Deputy President of Serbia’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Also present were representatives from UAE chambers, diplomatic officials, and investment promotion leaders from Sharjah.

In his opening remarks, Sheikh Majid Faisal Khalid Al Qasemi welcomed the Serbian delegation and stressed that the forum marks a strategic step forward in UAE-Serbia ties following the partnership agreement. He highlighted that the agreement sets a clear path for shared economic growth, forecasting a contribution of approximately $351 million to the UAE’s GDP by 2032.
