His Majesty “We were delighted to host 8,000 Arab media professionals in the UAE for the 23rd Arab Media Summit,” stated Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the UAE’s vice president, prime minister, and ruler of Dubai, on the X platform.
He continued, “We consistently reiterate our call for a developmental Arab media that creates a more beautiful future for young Arab generations who have the self-assurance to direct their own development and future, that builds and does not destroy, that unites and does not divide, that creates hope and not despair, and that fights ignorance, backwardness, and intellectual and cultural illness.
The Summit seeks to establish a clear vision for the media industry’s future, validate its beneficial role in fostering an Arab renaissance, and galvanise efforts to mould a prosperous and forward-thinking future for the region. The Summit, which some 8,000 professionals attend, is the region’s premier forum for policy discussions, media thought leadership, and the development of future narratives.
The Arab Media Award is also held at the Summit. In a rapidly changing media world, the Award continues to highlight strong editorial standards and professional achievement. The Award, which is organised by the Dubai Press Club, continues to be the leading venue for media recognition in the Arab world, honouring creative and influential journalism that adapts to the changing requirements of the area. More than 2,900 applications from all throughout the Arab world were received for this year’s edition.
