His Highness In order to accommodate tourist families, Dr. Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, a member of the Supreme Council and the ruler of Sharjah, announced a plan to construct hotel apartments with family rooms, parking spaces, and driver’s quarters across from Al Jubail Market in Kalba.
Sheikh Sultan affirmed that development is underway, promising the residents of Kalba, dubbed the “Pearl of the East,” a genuine pearl of pride that will shine brightly two or three years once all development projects are finished.
Sheikh Sultan stated in a phone conversation with media celebrity Mohammed Hassan Khalaf, Director General of the Sharjah Radio and Television Authority, during the “Direct Line” program on Sharjah Radio and Television.
Property owners shouldn’t be concerned since we are trying to help the nation and its citizens. Expropriation of property is only permitted when it serves the public interest. Schools, mosques, and hospitals are examples of the public benefit. We ask individuals to join us, but we are unable to compel them. We are working to develop every area of the nation, and we have made significant progress in Kalba. We plan to finish developing the entire city in two or three years,” he stated.
